Lara Lape Cameron-Cole

Lara Lape Cameron-Cole is an entrepreneur, working in the creative industry as a co-founder of CC Interiors Limited, a multiple award-winning Interior Design business and Apparel Partners Limited, an apparel manufacturing company. She is also a consultant within the Apparel Manufacturing space. She has a bachelor’s degree from Howard University in International Business and Finance, and a master’s degree from the University of Arts, London College of Fashion in Fashion Entrepreneurship, focusing on Apparel Manufacturing.

She started off her career in the Citigroup Corporate and Investment Bank, New York, working as a bond-trading analyst but made the move into the creative industry after a few years and has never looked back. She is currently in the beginning phases of constructing the first eco-apparel factory in Africa, which will be located in Ikorodu, Lagos.

As a consequence of her interest in apparel manufacturing, Lara Lape has been sponsored by the British Council UK on two occasions to tour and document findings at several different garment-producing factories in India and Sri Lanka. These led to her co-authoring The Sourcing Handbook for UK-India Apparel Manufacturing, a published guide and handbook currently available in the British Library.

Lara Lape serves on the Executive Council of Serving With Love Foundation, a charity that serves socially and economically disadvantaged children and women in the community. She also serves on the Advisory Board of The Dorcas Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization for children living with cancer. She’s an associate of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (Wimbiz). Burdened by the unemployment rate of youths in Nigeria, Lara Lape founded Work On Me, a service that works on C.V. reviewing and interview coaching for free, helping young people have a better chance at getting a job.
